The Radio is a tool in ARK: Survival Evolved used to communicate with other players who have the Radio over long distances.

Overview [ ]

The Radio can be crafted at the Smithy. Using the Radio prompts you to enter a 1-4 digit GHz frequency. After doing so, talking in game over vocalisation chat broadcasts to every user on the same channel.

Usage [ ]

The Radio accepts upward to 4 digits on the GHz frequency and each frequency is unique. There are ix,999 possible frequencies to choose from (0 is not a valid frequency).

To use the radio information technology has to exist in your action bar. It does not take to be equipped, just present in one of the i-9 slots. Putting the radio back into the normal inventory will turn it off.

Notes [ ]

Radios no longer work equally of Patch 311.74. The Whisper and Shout functionality has disabled the Voice checkbox when setting upward a radio. Thus radios no longer transmit vocalisation.
When your voice is transmitted over the radio, it will add a "absurd" filter over your voice.
The radio has a range spanning the entire island and is not affected by mountains, caves, or the presence of structures.
If the "phonation conversation" box is selected when entering the GHz frequency, your vocalism will not but broadcast to others with the radio but also to whatsoever players nearby.
